Push Notification

1. Do I need to pay extra charges to enable push notifications in my app?

No.
Push notifications are included in all QuikApp plans at no extra cost.
You only need to connect your Firebase account.
To enable push notifications, simply upload:

  1. Your Firebase configuration file
    • google-services.json (Android)
    • GoogleService-Info.plist (iOS)
  2. Your FCM Server Key from your Firebase project.

Once uploaded, you can start sending notifications through QuikApp instantly.

2. How many push notifications can I send to my app users?

There are no limits.
You can send unlimited push notifications to all your users anytime through the QuikApp dashboard.

3. Do push notifications consume credits?

Sending notifications does not consume any credits.
Credits are only used for Android/iOS builds.

4. Do I need to rebuild my app after enabling push notifications?

Yes, once.
After uploading your Firebase files, you must rebuild your app so that push notification support is added inside the app.
Rebuild credits apply:

After the rebuild, you can send notifications anytime without rebuilding again (unless you change Firebase project).

5. Can I change my Firebase project later?

Yes.
If you change your Firebase project or create a new one:

  1. Upload the new config files & server key
  2. Rebuild your app (credits apply)
  3. Publish the updated build to Play Store/App Store

After publishing, all users will receive notifications from the new Firebase project.

6. Can I send notifications to Android and iOS separately?

Yes.
You can target:

  • Android only
  • iOS only
  • Both platforms together

This can be selected directly from the QuikApp Push Notification panel.

7. Can I send image notifications (rich notifications)?

Yes.
QuikApp supports text and image-based notifications for Android and iOS (depending on OS support).

You can upload an image in the notification panel before sending.

8. Do users need to keep the app open to receive notifications?

No.
Users will receive notifications even if:

  • The app is minimized
  • The app is closed
  • The screen is locked

As long as they have installed your app and given notification permission.

9. Can I send notifications to specific users or segments?

Yes.
QuikApp supports:

  • Full broadcast (all users)
  • Targeted segments (coming soon)
  • Topic-based notifications (if configured in Firebase)

More advanced segmentation features will be added soon.

10. What happens if the user uninstalls the app?

They will automatically stop receiving notifications.
Reinstalling the app will re-enable notifications.
